Its shape, based on the Japanese blades of old, is well suited for Iaijutsu, and its keen edge can slice through the dimensions themselves.

Beowulf, a mighty demon, thought once to take his hatred of Sparda out on the dark knight's son. Vergil, however, defeated him so completely, that there was nothing left but these boots and gauntlets.

Never a fan of firearms, Vergil instead relies on these piercing projectiles of demonic energy. While effective as a long-range attack, they're also capable of binding enemies or contributing to combo chains. Foes trapped in a storm of these blades will find no reprieve, only death.

A shadow clone born of infernal energy and shaped by Yamato. The doppelganger mirrors both its Vergil's movements and attacks—even its appearance is a copy of his true self. That both shadow and master can move in such harmony is a testament to Vergil's mastery of the skill.

Vergil absorbs Yamato's power, allowing him to release his true demonic nature. While in this state, he can draw upon both man and demon to bolster his attacks. With enough Concentration, he'll also have access to powerful, ultimate techniques that will change the course of battle in his favor.

In times of need, Vergil can thrust Yamato into his own body, shearing V from his very essence. From there, V can his command his faithful familiars to blanket the battlefield in a massive attack.

While V may represent the human side of Vergil's soul, the latter has no problem calling him forth at will. Master Yamato, and you too may find yourself capable of such feats.
